I led a cross-functional team to develop a coating life prediction model for Oil & Gas. The task was technically challenging, due to the complex interplay of several factors that act synergistically towards life degradation of thermal barrier coatings. It gave me immense satisfaction when our hard work led to incorporation of the correct physics in the model & the model demonstrated great usefulness when my Oil & Gas colleagues used it in field, towards improving our LTSA-s (long term service agreement) with our customers.
