I have been at GE for around 3 years.

The Georgia Institute of Technology (B.S.), The Pennsylvania State University (M.S. and Ph.D.)
What are you working on now?
Degradation studies in solid oxide fuel cells; development and testing of NOx sensors; processing, microstructure, and performance relationships in advanced structural ceramics.
Any awards, medals, patents, or special recognitions?
2006 Graduate Excellence in Materials Science – Diamond Award.
Who is a technologist (past or present) that you most admire?
Dorothy Hodgkin – for her work inside and outside the lab!
What is your favorite book or publication?
Non-Fiction: Silent Spring by Rachel Carson, Letters to a Young Poet by Ranier Maria Rilke; Fiction: The Left Hand of Darkness by Ursula Le Guin
What invention of the future will change the world/way we live?
Room temperature superconductivity, significant advances in materials science related to solar photovoltaics, thermoelectrics, battery, and fuel cell technologies
What is your hobby?
Playing mandolin, ballet, trail running, ultimate frisbee, and throwing frisbee with my dog.
What type of music do you listen to while you are working?
BLUEGRASS!!! But also folk, jazz and opera.
