Solid oxide fuel cells this Sunday on 60 Minutes

Kristen Brosnan

Hey everyone,

I heard about a 60 Minutes feature on Bloom Energy that will be airing on Sunday and wanted to put up a quick post to let you know. Lesley Stahl is doing a piece on Bloom Energy, which is officially launching on Feb. 24th and unveiling the Bloom Box (a SOFC unit that can power ~100 residences).

I personally am very interested as I have been involved in SOFC research here over the past few years. You can read more information about what will be discussed in this article.   It is airing at 7:00 p.m. on Sunday the 21st so if you tune in, let me know what you think afterwards!

I let my neice know about the show, she will be watching it on Sunday. I will be unable to so will have to watch it online.

Thank you for the heads up.

To whom can I speak about SiC? New way to produce SiC for less costs.

I am a Final Year Reserch Student doing a project on Fuel cells for power generation.
I am focusing on SOFC’s and as GE is reknowned for SOFC research and development I would be grategul if you could provide me with any information that could help me on my Fuel cells.

I am assisting a client to sell equipment that they used for fuel cell research and no longer need. I have another client that was doing lithium ion battery research and has equipment to sell. Let me know if you’d like me to email a list over. They would like to sell by 9/30/10 – Perhaps another research organization could make good use of this!

I am a Realtor in Arizona. I sell land. I am a Certified Land Sales Specialist. I saw the Bloom Box on 60 minutes. This would make a lot of land buildable without the grid. I would like to know when this will be available. This could create jobs and make many areas liveable. We still have Indian Reservations that do not have electricity.
